Diabetes education evening

Join us for an informative and practical evening designed for people living with Type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, or those at high risk of developing diabetes.

This session will break down diabetes in plain English—what’s really going on in the body, why blood sugars rise, and what actually makes a difference beyond “eat less sugar”. We’ll explore how lifestyle, weight, insulin resistance, medications, sleep, stress, and movement all interact, and where small, realistic changes can lead to meaningful improvements.

You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of:

  • What Type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes really mean

  • How blood sugar control can be improved (and sometimes reversed)

  • The role of diet, weight loss, and physical activity—without extremes

  • Common diabetes medications: what they do, benefits, and limitations

  • Practical steps you can start immediately

The session is led by a UK-based clinical pharmacist with a specialist interest in cardiometabolic health and diabetes management. There will be time for questions, discussion, and myth-busting in a relaxed, supportive environment.

This event is suitable whether you’re newly diagnosed, have had diabetes for several years, or simply want to understand your risk and take control earlier rather than later.

Education is often the missing piece. This evening is about clarity, confidence, and practical next steps.
